Deborah is an experienced and well qualified project manager, having managed several major IT&T transformation projects both nationally and internationally.

Deborah has worked for over 10 years in the Telecommunications industry in several organisations including Optus, Cable & Wireless, and AAPT. Her specialisation is technology driven transformation projects that involve the migration or transition from one environment to another.

• Technology driven transformation projects, involving the movement of systems, networks or data from one environment to another.

• Proven project management skills, with over 3 major (over $8m budget) and 20 minor (under $8m budget) projects successfully completed.

• Managing and motivating teams, both cross functionally, divisionally, or cross company.

• Proven ability to uncover and fix additional organisation issues that a project may come across – for example network rationalisation and process changes.

Major Assignments

AAPT – Deborah was responsible for the successful migration of the entire consumer base from several billing and provisioning systems to a Infonova based platform. This $10m project was completed in 2 stages over an 18 month period. It involved the management of 20 team menbers across AAPT divisions and suppliers.

Optus – Managed a team of 4 project managers to oversee the successful delivery of all projects for a major insurance company. Projects under management totalled $15million per annum, representing on average 60 projects per week. Completely overhauled the processes and systems used to manage the projects resulting in a more streamlined delivery and an understanding of project profitability.

Cable & Wireless - Responsible for the delivery of a transformation project to establish a new C&W business in Asia. This involved the transition of 21 ATM, 57 Frame Relay and 5 MPL customer networks, totalling over 250 circuits over a 12 month period.

Achieved savings of over £14.4 million per annum in third party accruals (no actual payment but incorrectly accounted for by C&W).
